Rubik's Cube Patterns

One of my favorite things to do with a rubik's cube is to figure out patterns. Honestly.
I come up with an idea for one, sketch it on paper to make sure it's possible, then I solve for it.
Then I try to come up with a short cut to get it solved again. If I succeed, I can just do that backwards at any time and end up in the pattern.
Some patterns to try out:
Checkerboard
Switched centers
Two sided checkerboard
Flower
Cross

Have fun, and look at online tutorials if you really need to!
